Universal Device Poller Custom Chart

After working through various steps to gather Universal Device Poller data about our APC AP7811, AP7841, and AP7830 units, next we needed a good way to display the data.

Our challenge ended up being that we had two device pollers that we wanted on the same chart.  The first chart element was the current AMP load.  The second element that we needed to display was the threshold that didn't want to exceed.  We called this second element Max Normal Load.

What we ended doing was adding a "Universal Device Poller Custom Chart" to the device / node page (don't worry, the chart doesn't display when the UDP isn't applied to the device).

As I outlined on a related page, our APC PDU models behave a little differently when responding to the UDP.  Because of this difference in behavior between models, we ended up creating two transforms for MaxNormalLoad, and applied the UDP to specific PDUs.  It is OK, because the "extra" MaxNormalLoad doesn't display.

Again, each of the selections shown below were items we created earlier using the Universal Device Poller tool.
